Skip Hanson and John Kane of Crossfit Santa Cruz Central earned top-three finishes in the NorCal masters competition — the largest crossfit competition outside of the Crossfit Games for those 40 and older — over the weekend in Richmond.

Kane secured a second-place finish in the 55-59 division, and Hanson secured a third-place finish in the 45-49 division after two days of competition.

The masters competition, like the Crossfit Games, consists of combination workout challenges in ranked rounds. Four workouts were held the first day and two workouts were held the second day, with only the top five highest ranking individuals  making the final workout.

Other Santa Cruz County competitors from CSCC that earned top 10 finishes included Kim Saxton, Kelly Greco, Marshall Delk, Debbie Baker, Bill Licker and Scott Taylor.

Results included in this report are from Gary Hirthler of Crossfit Santa Cruz Central.
