Two Santa Cruz County climbers captured wins in their divisions at the Sports Climbing Series stop at Pacific Edge last weekend.

Santa Cruz resident Charlotte Bansal [Pacific Edge] won the female youth-A division in what was a huge turnaround from her last Northern California local competition. In late March, Bansal placed ninth in her division at Sanctuary Rock Gym in Seaside. Saturday, the 16-year-old redeemed herself with an 8,390-point win, according to results from USA Climbing.

Watsonville resident Natalia Grossman, 10, continued to dominate in the female youth-D division, taking home her second straight victory. Grossman [Zero Gravity Climbing] earned 9,800 points with her win.

The next Northern California local Sports Climbing Series event is scheduled for Saturday at the Rocknasium in Davis.
