Santa Cruz resident Tobin Ortenblad won the elite men’s division of the Central Coast Cyclocross Series’s fourth race of the season at Cal State-Monterey Bay over the weekend.

Ortenblad, who rides for Cal Giant-Specialized, completed nine laps in 1 hour, 1 minute, 22 seconds to win the elite men’s Cat 1/2/3/4 division. He was followed by fellow Santa Cruzan Scott Chapin [Bicycleblue book/HRS/Rocklobster], who finished in 1:03:12 for second place, and San Francisco’s Bush Walton [Mash SF], who took third in 1:03:36.

Three other Santa Cruz residents also won their divisions: Brock Dickie [Buy-cell.com] in the master men’s 35-plus Cat A race, going seven laps in 50:01; Haley Cutter [Caletti] in the women’s B Cat 2/3/4 race, going five laps in 43:32; and Chance Tiner [SCJC] in the men’s junior 15-18 age race, going five laps in 44:30.
