The Santa Cruz County Interscholastic Disc Golf League had it’s fourth match of the season last Sunday with 19 students attending. Teams were present from Soquel, San Lorenzo Valley, Scotts Valley and Santa Cruz High Schools.

San Lorenzo had the lowest team scores with several new players adding to their improved performance. Santa Cruz high was second followed by Soquel and Scotts Valley.

Individual player scores had Scott Edwards of Scotts Valley High shooting the hot round of a one under 53 with Robin Johnston, who has had the best scores of the season so far in second with a one over 55. Soquel’s Thomas Tomaselli and Robert Biagiotto from SLV tied for third with two over par 56s. Erica Tinetti from Santa Cruz high shot a stellar 10 over 64 to put her team in second for the day.

The Black Mouse course in Felton is known for it’s many trees and dogleg fairways which challenge the students throwing ability and disc selection.

The League will resume after the Easter break on April 14th at Aptos High School’s disc golf course for match 5 out of eight. The League finals will be at Shaffer Park disc golf course on Sunday, May 5th.
