“It has been an extraordinary year and we have loved giving away bikes and contributing to the community and local charities,” Mylls said.  “We have built great partnerships and want to thank our sponsors for helping us make a difference.  We are looking forward to keeping up a great tradition of getting kids riding.”

“Our goal is to give away over 100 bikes this year. We couldn’t be more excited about our first giveaway”, says Rob Mylls, owner of Bike Dojo. “We’re going to have a Bike Distribution Day each month where kids can pick out their new bikes.”

Bike Dojo partners with Beach Flats Community Center, a non-profit program of Community Bridges, who is instrumental in promoting the program and finding kids to participate.

Working together with a common vision will enable Bike Dojo, and the cycling community of Santa Cruz, to give more to children in need and make a real difference.  “We are really grateful to our sponsors.  Their contribution makes a huge difference and we are excited to have such amazing local business who care as much as we do who want to be a part of something extraordinary,” says Mylls.

New Leaf Community Markets, Ow Properties, Spokesman Bicycles, Woodstock’s Pizza, By Marisa Catering, and the Santa Cruz Good Times are major sponsors.
