Santa Cruz High’s Willie Eagleton won the pro-am division of the Volcom Youth Against the Establishment’s Totally Crustaceous Surf Tour stop at the Hook in Capitola on Nov. 25.

Eagleton got a cool $1,000 for his win in the Greatwhite event. JD Lewis took second in the same division, and Noah Wegrich took third.

In other divisions, Brogie Panesi won the juniors, Sam Coffey won the groms, Carley Wilson won the girls and Burkley Eggers won the squids. The killer move award called the Electric Volt Thrower [$100] went to Ryder Borton.

Results included in this report are from the Volcom YAE Totally Crustaceous Tour webpage. The next California event for the tour is scheduled for Seaslug, El Puerto, in Las Angeles. It will return to the Santa Cruz, at Steamer Lane, on Feb. 2, 2013.

Menna was followed by Ventura’s Jabe Swierkocki in second place and Santa Cruz’s Santiago Hart in third place. Menna was the sole winner from Santa Cruz County, but several other Santa Cruz surfers did medal.

Nic H’dez placed second and Wyatt Barrabee placed third in the open men’s division, Sam Coffey placed second in the open boys division, and Autumn Hays, Allison Menna, and Devon Powers went 2-3-4 in the open girls division.

The next Northwest Conference event is scheduled for Dec. 15 at  Pleasure Point.
